The blogger named liquidbubble writes about the making and marketing of computer-based training on the blog located at http://www.ad-matrix.net/computers/nine-steps-to-making-and-marketing-your-cbt.html. The work listed 9 steps for creating CBT and I’d like to comment on one.
Step 6, Choose the software, indicates that there are different tools available to create CBT projects and suggests that Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 can be enhanced by Microsoft Producer to create cost-effective CBT. Unfortunately, Producer does not appear to work with PowerPoint 2007. Nick MacKechnie reported on his blog (http://blogs.msdn.com/nickmac/archive/2008/06/06/powerpoint-producer-2007-beta.aspx) that Producer 2007 beta downloads are available (connect.microsoft.com/Downloads/Downloads.aspx?SiteID=566) and final a version would be available from the Microsoft Office download site (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/FX101321101033.aspx?pid=CL100570421033) as early as August 2008. This download does not appear to be available as of 9-18-08.
